Cost of dental implants, affordable dental implants

Many people are looking at Dental Implants as a solution to problems with missing teeth.  One of the most bewildering aspects when considering Dental Implants as a treatment option, is the question of price. We know this is true as this aspect is widely confusing for the general public. You only have to do a search online for Dental Implants to see the huge variety of information and prices.
So let’s really get to the hub of this pricing aspect and understand what people are actually advertising. Dental Implants if placed with thorough planning, by an experienced and qualified Dental Professional are a good long term solution.
The prices that are advertised online range from about £500, we have even seen them advertised for £400. Those prices are to grab your attention and prompt an enquiry. They are just a sales and marketing tactic. If you call one of those places, they will offer you a free consultation and then after that you will find out that the actual cost of the treatment is nowhere near £400 or £500 pounds. What they do is price each individual component separately and then fees for each stage, so the £400 turns out to be just for one component or one stage.
Costs for implants will always vary from case to case, we are dealing with human tissue and bone so every case is unique. Some cases might be very straightforward if there is sufficient bone and good height and width of bone. Other cases might be more complex if they involve (building up or adding to) augmenting the existing bone in some way or lifting the sinus. The case might also require the fabrication of a custom made implant abutment or a zirconium abutment. All of which, would increase the fees and treatment time.
Each case would need to be carefully assessed and planned, this involves taking X rays and in some cases a 3D scan. Some cases will require templates to be fabricated that show the tooth and implant positions and angles that the implants need to placed.
Now you can see why the implant planning and assessment stages are so important and that if someone advertises dental implants for £500, that fee cannot possibly match up to the reality of the entire treatment.
Here at My Brilliant Smile Dental Centre all dental implants are placed following all of the above measures and we do not cut any corners to save costs. Our fees for a dental implant in a straightforward case would be £1500, that fee covers all of the implant components and the placement of the implant itself. The cost of the crown which is cemented onto the implant would be an additional £500.
If you were considering dental implants as a form of treatment it would be impossible for us to give you any other fee guide apart from the above until a preliminary implant case assessment was completed. The cost of the preliminary implant case assessment is £55 plus the cost of any x rays, following that assessment we produce a written report of the options for treatment and then a more detailed fee guide.
Here at My Brilliant Smile Dental Centre, we also see the cases where people have been abroad for dental treatment and sometimes this can be very good. These special dental tourism packages sound great value for money, as people think that they can combine their treatment with a holiday. Some people who go down this route have less luck and then turn to us for help when things have gone wrong. So the incentive to save money and have a holiday may turn out to be a big mistake. Often people also do not realise that dental implant treatment takes more than just one visit and so they need to make a number of flights abroad to complete the treatment.
So as always it pays to do some research, go and visit a centre for a free consultation, meet the staff and see if you feel comfortable. If you go into a capital city like London you will likely pay more for your treatment than if it’s done in the suburbs.

How to find the best Dentures, Options and Dental Implants

How to find the best Dentures, Options and Dental Implants
At My Brilliant Smile Dental Centre, we are able to offer all of the options for missing teeth including dental implants ,this includes hybrid dental implant and denture options, or purely denture options. The reason that we can provide all of that information on options, is that unlike most practices we can provide all of the treatment options in house. We not only fabricate our own Dentures but can place any of the implants here as well. The Team at My Brilliant Smile Dental Centre includes a Clinical Dental Technician and an Implantologist.
Our philosophy is to provide each patient with all the options and the pros and cons of each option, so that each client can decide what is the best option for themselves. Sometimes that decision is based on cost, or clinical conditions, sometimes a mixture of both. We spend a great deal of time explaining treatment options in plain English and often produce a written report. On some occasions it is necessary to take x rays for clinical diagnosis. X rays are only taken when needed and as all of our equipment is digital, we can then discuss the x ray with each patient immediately.
It has become increasingly obvious that most existing denture wearers have only a very basic idea of dental implants and how they work. Most people only have conventional basic dentures and often have never been told about other options.
With dentures and denture solutions there are so many things that can now be achieved and there are only a very few people who actually take a keen interest in denture patients. Many people who have existing dentures are familiar with having them provided by Dentists, however, Dentists do not themselves make dentures.
Clinical Dental Technicians and Denturists are qualified dental professionals who actually hold a specialist qualification in the denture field. They will not only make the dentures for you but carry out all of the clinical stages as well. This is a different service to that of the Dentist who carries out the clinical work but sends everything away to a laboratory to be made by someone who has never met you.
The quality of dentures vary considerably depending on the materials used and the type of denture teeth themselves. It is now possible to obtain denture teeth that look just like natural teeth and they can be set as individually as you fingerprint. Every denture is custom made by hand for each patient and their likes and dislikes are taken into consideration during the process of treatment.
When fabricating dentures or implant supported dentures there are various stages involved and we always discuss each stage and gain each patients consent before proceeding to the next stage. By treating everybody as individuals in a caring environment, we have built a reputation for providing the best levels of service. In the reception area there is a visitors book filled with patients testimonials. Invisible Braces and what are the best options?

Invisible Braces and what are the best options?

You might be surprised to hear that more and more adults as well as teenagers and children are having invisible braces fitted. In the past dental braces have been traditionally fitted more for children and teenagers.  What has brought about this change is the introduction of clear braces and invisible braces? These allow correction and movement of the teeth without the unsightly appearance. New advances in technology and materials have opened up a range of invisible and clear options.
This in itself is one of the reasons why more adults are having this treatment, but also we have the fact that often these adults have underdeveloped dental arches. Sometimes the lower jaw has not fully developed as the lower teeth were locked into position by the upper teeth. This results in the lower third of the face being smaller, the upper lip more protruding and often makes it difficult to chew food and pronounce certain words. Another common cause is thumb sucking as a child, which can lead to the upper front teeth being more protrusive and the lower front teeth being more retruded.
The good news is that all of these things can be corrected as well as restoring the correct relationship between the teeth and the lower third of the face.
The relationship between the upper and lower teeth and the degree of correction required would dictate which option of treatment is most suitable. Your choice of treatment would also be influenced by the treatment time itself (some systems work faster than others) cost, and the invisibility of each option.
If the clinician or orthodontist that you visit, doesn’t offer a wide range of options, then how would you know which is the best option for you?.
Here at My Brilliant Smile Dental Centre we do have the full range of options and will discuss all of those options with you, so that your proposed treatment plan is based on informed consent. We give you all the unbiased facts so that you can decide which option is most suitable for you and we will advise you as to which options will not produce the best results in your individual case.
